BRCA 2023 Off Road Nationals Rd4 Southport

This past weekend was the fourth round of the BRCA National series at Southport Radio Car Club.
There was once again a huge entry of drivers in both the 2wd and 4wd classes, the event is ran over the weekend and is 2wd on Saturday and 4wd on Sunday.

The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position.  Then one final for all competitors except for 3 leg A finals.

Aidan Burke and his team at Southport had designed a very fast track layout for this event and the track and facilities were all excellent.


In 2wd qualifying it was dominated by Luke Holdsworth, taking TQ in all 4 rounds of qualifying so he would line up on pole position. Neil Cragg would be second on the grid and Paul Crompton 3rd.

The A Final 2wd result after all 3 legs was:

In 4wd qualifying, it was a close battle between Paul Crompton, Neil Cragg and Tommy Hall, this is the order they would line up on the grid.
The day started off dry but rain was on the way, most of the day after 2 rounds of qualifying was damp or wet.

5 Luke Holdsworth - Schumacher CAT L1R
