Schumacher Indoor Masters Rd2
This past weekend was the second round of the very popular Worksop Series, there was once again a massive entry of 165 drivers across the 3 classes of 2wd, 4wd and a vintage buggy class.
All competitors in both 2wd and 4wd buggies must now use a brand new pair of rear tyres at each event, these are marked as drivers book in first thing and then it makes it
a much more level playing field for all racers. As people said at round 1, this has made the racing so much more fun and even closer.
As always it was round by round qualifying as the racing format, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position.
The track layout was great and the lap was around 20 seconds for most people, which was great for the 11 car heats.
Qualifying in 2wd saw a dominating performance by Neil Cragg, taking TQ in all 4 rounds to take pole position from Craig Collinson and Mitchell Fiddling.
In 4wd things were going in the way of Neil Cragg once again, Craig Collinson was a solid second and Allan O Brien lined up third.
In the Vintage class it was Chris Slater who dominated proceedings once again, taking TQ in 3 qualifying rounds to line up on pole.
The A Final 2wd result was:
1 Neil Cragg AE
2 Mitchell Fiddling Schumacher
3 Craig Collinson Xray
4 Eugene Galley Schumacher
5 Ben Smith Schumacher
6 Allan O Brien Schumacher
7 Karl Marsden Kyosho
8 Matt Moore Kyosho
9 Edward Callan AE
10 Iain Mellish AE
11 Connor Cocker AE
The A Final 4wd result was:
1 Craig Collinson Xray

4 Dom Nunn Xray
5 Kev Lee PR Racing
6 Matthew Thompson Kyosho
7 David Gibson Yokomo

The Vintage A Final result was:

As always a massive thanks to the Worksop team for all of their hard work and many thanks to the race referees.
The next round of this Series is on Sunday 2nd December, there are a few spaces left in vintage but the 2wd and 4wd classes are currently both full.
We hope to see you there.
