Swedish Winter Indoor Champs Rd 1

The first round of the Swedish Winter Indoor Championship was held in Eskilstuna, Sweden this past weekend. The non EOS carpet track was technical and offered medium low traction. Cactus Yellow was the control tyre and worked really well in these conditions. The Cougar KC cars worked well from start to finish of the race.

After seeding was completed in the 2WD class Magnus Vässmar was top seed in front of fellow Schumacher driver Henrik Karlsson, both running the Cougar KC. After the qualies was done Magnus took the TQ by being fastest in all the runs and Henrik qualified P2 followed by Richard Hammarlund in P3. The finals got underway and provided some good racing on the technical track. Magnus took the overall victory by tone to tone wins in A1 and A2 with Henrik in 2nd place in both finals as well. Magnus had a DNF in A3 which Henrik won infront of Lars Hägerman. The 3rd position went in the end to Lars Hägerman after having had a good battle with Richard Hammarlund.

In the 4WD class local driver and vintage race organizer, Tomas Karlsson, competed with his Schumacher CAT 2000EC. In the hectic and action packed battles thru out the day he did a great job taking home the 2nd place of the race! Felix Angseryd won and Frank Holmgren took 3rd spot.
