Batley Winter Series Concludes

Batley Buggy Club, in West Yorkshire, North of England hosted the concluding round of the Batley Winter Series at their indoor venue MB Raceway this past weekend. The race series sponsored by Schumacher and MB Models saw 145 competitors race in five rounds across three 10th off road classes, 2wd, 4wd and Under 13 2wd buggy, on the EOS carpet track. Batley club has a 25 year history of nurturing junior racing talent, and this series has proven to be one of the most successful in the region for young racers, with twenty five under 13’s entering the series in fierce competition for the top place trophies.

2wd Buggy was particular well contended with 15 year old Thomas Gill (Yokomo YZ-2CA), driving for MB models taking the series win, from second place Ross Barras (Yokomo YZ-2CA) and Jim Furniss (Team Associated B6) third.

2wd Series Top 10 results

 4wd Buggy series win was taken by Philip Carrick (Yokomo YZ-4), from second place Phillip Allcroft (Xray XB4) and Jim Dixon (Schumacher K2) third.

Under 13 2wd overall winner was Harry Brittain (Yokomo YZ-2CA), from second place James Bellwood (Yokomo YZ-2CA) and Isaac Mcfadyean (Schumacher KC) in third.
