SupaStox dominates BRCA Rd2

20 November 2013

Round 2 of the BRCA 1/12th section nationals took place over the weekend at the fabulous Stocksbridge venue near Sheffield.  A new venue on the calendar set up by David Underwood at a community run leisure centre, and so far one of the nicest we've seen on the circuit.

The GT12 class saw a full entry of 30 drivers and the racing was action packed and provided a great spectacle!  On Saturday the SupaStox of Sam Clifton lined up on pole ahead of the Mardave chassis of Stephen Lander with Schumacher's Chris Ashton in 3rd.  The top three got away cleanly at the start and pulled a small gap on the chasing pack, Chris got ahead of Stephen and began chasing down Sam.  Unfortunately a mistake for Sam also collected Chris putting them both down the leader board allowing 4th placed man David Hall with his SupaStox through into the lead.  David held out until the end of the race to take a great win from 4th on the grid.  Well done!

7 out of 10 cars were Schumacher SupaStox.

The Sunday see's the same format as the Saturday for GT12 and the same 3 drivers lined up in the top three spots.  This time Sam got away clean and took a flag to flag victory.  Trouble for Stephen saw him drop down the field with the SupaStox of Anthony Potter taking over second 2nd and Chris Ashton 3rd.
