VRP is a Texas-based R/C design and manufacturing company. Owner and president, Mike Ankey, has been involved in Radio Control since the early 1980’s. Early beginnings include buliding and flying rc model airplanes at the age of 6 and then seeing the birth of what we know as the RC Car Industry at 14 years old. He progressed in racing by being involved in the family owned Ohio RC Raceways, the first Indoor Offroad track in the Midwest, TQ’d the 1989 ROAR 2WD Stock Nationals, TQ’d and Won the First 2 Midwest Indoor Champs, and became the first Losi TLR Sponsored Driver outside of Cali. Decades later Mike started VRP with the Patented X Piston series.
Now into the 10th Year, VRP has grown rapidly and has introduced the ‘XV3’ Piston as well as many new products, which realizes our goal to give customers World Class products.
